Krystal Serrano, Orange and Rockland County Democratic Candidate for the 98th Assembly District
Friday, June 10, 2016, Monroe, NY – At the Rockland County Democratic Convention, held Thursday, June 9, 2016, Krystal Serrano, resident of the Town of Monroe, was unanimously endorsed as the Democratic candidate for the 98thAssembly District. Today, she has the full support of both Orange and Rockland County Democratic Committees to represent the people of the 98thAssembly District. The 98th District is located in Orange and Rockland counties. It is comprised of the City of Port Jervis, the Towns of Deerpark, Greenville, Minisink, Warwick, Monroe, Tuxedo, and in Rockland, the Town of Ramapo.
Albany needs reform, both ethically and procedurally. Our New York State legislature needs new leaders who will focus on the needs of the people they represent.
Krystal Serrano is a proven fighter for the people and will support real reform. She brings experience in developing small businesses and promoting job growth opportunities, and she is concerned about quality healthcare choices for working families. Ms. Serrano has been a leader in building strong neighborhoods with healthcare education, foreclosure stabilization, and job development, and she has worked with community leaders to resolve citizen issues such as homeowner taxation and environmental concerns. Krystal Serrano opposes unfunded mandates that get passed on to local governments when bills come due.
Ms. Serrano is currently working along with currently sitting members of the New York State Assembly from both parties on issues relating to government affairs and community engagement. She will be effective immediately as a member of the Democratic majority and a strong Assemblywoman for the 98th Assembly District.
